What is Huawei EV supercharger?

Today, Huawei launched a brand-new fully liquid-cooled 1.5 megawatt-class supercharger for EVs (electric vehicles). It is the industry’s first completely liquid-cooled charging solution that aims to deliver faster and power-efficient services.

Can Huawei EV charger charge a heavy truck?

Huawei 1.5 megawatt charging solution claims to charge a heavy truck up to 90% within 15 minutes. Meanwhile, reloading will be 4x higher than other charging piles. Speaking of efficiency, the new EV charger is 30% more efficient and costs 20% less in the operational segment compared to previous-gen charging solutions.

Will Huawei's EV battery be commercialized?

If commercialized, this would place Huawei’s battery technology well ahead of existing offerings in the EV market. The company claims the battery can deliver a full 0–100% charge within five minutes, offering a seamless and fast-charging experience for future EVs. However, industry experts remain cautiously optimistic.

Why is Huawei developing a solid-state battery?

Huawei’s design aims to boost safety and cycle life by mitigating degradation at this critical junction. Huawei’s involvement in solid-state battery research reflects a broader trend among Chinese technology and automotive companies.
