Huawei has launched a supercharger with over 1 MW of peak charging power, as the charging power race continues. The Chinese tech giant rolled out the supercharger in Shanghai today, with a peak charging power of up to 1.5 MW, claiming it is the industry's first fully liquid-cooled MW-class supercharging solution.

Can Huawei EV charger charge a heavy truck?

Huawei 1.5 megawatt charging solution claims to charge a heavy truck up to 90% within 15 minutes. Meanwhile, reloading will be 4x higher than other charging piles. Speaking of efficiency, the new EV charger is 30% more efficient and costs 20% less in the operational segment compared to previous-gen charging solutions.

Huawei claims this represents a nearly fourfold improvement in replenishment efficiency compared to traditional fast-charging stations.
